Pennsylvania Moms Say: Count Every Vote in Our U.S. Senate Race
Lisa Lederer, 202/371-1996
“Pennsylvania’s U.S. Senate race will help shape the Congress that is going to make immensely important decisions that have an enormous impact on our lives, including whether child care and home care will be affordable, paid family and medical leave accessible, wages fair, and our streets and communities safer from the scourge of gun violence. The outcome of this race will help determine whether moms who have miscarriages, ectopic pregnancies, and other reproductive health emergencies will continue to suffer and die – and whether any of us will be able to access birth control, IVF and abortion care. It should go without saying that, in any election, every vote must be counted and that is especially important in the Casey/McCormick U.S. Senate race, which is extremely close with some 100,000 votes still to be counted. Our state’s moms say that nobody should declare victory until every single vote has been counted.”
