‘Moms Are Watching’ Is Message of Digital Ads Urging 13 Republican Reps. Not to Take Away Our Health Care, Food Assistance, and Child Care While Continuing Tax Breaks for Billionaires, Big Corporations

America’s moms and families have a tremendous amount on the line as Congress works on the FY 2024 budget, with spending for vitally important health care, child care, and food and nutrition assistance programs potentially at risk. To underscore what the country’s moms have at stake, MomsRising Together is running digital ads targeting 13 Republican U.S. House members, urging them not to protect tax breaks for billionaires and big corporations and to refuse to cut spending for programs that matter deeply to working and low-income families. The digital spots can be viewed here: https://www.momsrising.org/moms-are-watching-ads.
The spots target:
- Rep. Don Bacon (R-NE-2)
- Rep. Lori Chavez-DeRemer (R-OR-5)
- Rep. Anthony D'Esposito (R-NY-4)
- Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick (R-PA-1)
- Rep. Andrew Garbarino (R-NY-2)
- Rep. Mike Garcia (R-CA-27)
- Rep. Mike Lawler (R-NY-17)
- Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC-1)
- Rep. Marc Molinaro (R-NY-19)
- Rep. Chris Smith (R-NJ-4)
- Rep. David Valadao (R-CA-22)
- Rep. Jeff Van Drew (R-NJ-2)
- Rep. Roger Williams (R-TX-25)
“These 13 Republican U.S. House members have shown willingness to advance solutions for America's children and families” said MomsRising Together Executive Director and CEO Kristin Rowe-Finkbeiner. “We take them at their word and are reminding them that their constituents don’t want them to protect tax breaks for wealthy individuals and huge corporations while cutting the child care, food and nutrition assistance, and health care programs moms and families need. Through these spots, we are helping ensure that the voices of MomsRising Together members in their districts are heard.”
The organization spent tens of thousands of dollars on the digital spots, which began running on March 16.
