At 10 am Wednesday, April 30 at the State Capitol, MomsRising and Voices for Utah Children will host a news conference and roundtable discussion that brings together health care providers, educators, religious and business leaders, families, and others to urge the state’s elected officials to reject harmful anti-immigrant actions and instead invest in Utah families. Speakers will discuss the climate of fear that anti-immigrant rhetoric and policies are causing; the harm to Utah families, businesses and the state’s economy; and the imperative to prioritize access to education, health care, and economic opportunity in order to create a more just and inclusive Utah.
