When you have a question about fitness, wouldn’t you like to get your answer from Jillian Michaels? If you had a question about finance, you’d probably like to run it by Suze Orman. And if you have a question about the implementation of the largest ever overhaul in our health care system, who better to ask than the U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services (HHS)? This week, moms from across the country will get answers to their questions about health reform directly from one of our nation’s leading experts, HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius during a live video chat at:
11:45 am, Thursday, July 22
MomsRising Campaign Director Donna Norton will ask questions that have been selected from more than 600 sent in by MomsRising members across the country.
Secretary Sebelius will be joined by actress, activist and cancer survivor Fran Drescher.
MomsRising, the million-strong online and on-the-ground organization for moms and everyone who has a mom, has been helping moms and others get the answers to their questions about health reform from the people best positioned to answer those questions. Earlier this year, U.S. Senators Robert Mendendez (NJ), Jeff Merkeley (OR) and Tom Udall (NM) participated in video chats during which they answered questions from MomsRising members in their states.
On the MomsRising web site, each week, Families USA answers one question about health reform from a MomsRising member. The Senators’ videos and the Families USA answers can be found here.
