“Moms across the nation know that our right to vote is essential to our communities’ and our nation’s health, that every vote should be counted, and that there is no place in our country for voter suppression. We also know that, at this time when faith in our government is badly strained, the For the People Act is necessary to reinforce the foundations of our democracy. This badly needed legislation advances the comprehensive democracy reform we need so badly by making it easier to vote, harder to gerrymander, easier for everyday moms and others to make their views and voices heard, and harder to hack, corrupt, and steal elections. Especially important is the For the People Act’s potential to restore the Voting Rights Act, which is essential to our democracy, and to minimize the impact of big money in America’s elections and its government.
