Seriously, Moms for Liberty? Quoting Adolph Hitler?

Statement of Kristin Rowe-Finkbeiner, Executive Director and CEO of MomsRising, the online and on-the-ground organization of more than one million mothers and their families, on the news that Moms for Liberty’s Hamilton County, Indiana chapter quoted Adolph Hitler on the front page of its newsletter:

“We were wrong if we thought we understood the depths to which Moms for Liberty would sink. The news that the Hamilton County, Indiana Moms for Liberty chapter prominently quotes Adolph Hitler in its newsletter is both shocking and…somehow unsurprising. Moms for Liberty promotes an agenda and uses tactics that are abhorrent to America’s moms, the vast majority of whom support accurate history, sex education, social emotional learning, and inclusion of trans and LGBTQ students. Across party and demographic lines, moms do not want a few parents to be able to ban books from school libraries, isolate and stigmatize LGBTQ students, or deny students honest, accurate, age-appropriate history education including slavery, the civil rights movement, and the Holocaust. 

“The Southern Poverty Law Center was right to designate Moms for Liberty as a hate group. They lie when they suggest they represent moms. Moms fully reject the division and hate that Moms for Liberty spreads.”
