As part of its multifaceted, million-dollar GOTV campaign, which has reached more than ten million moms who are infrequent voters, the MomsRising Education Fund and MamásConPoder are reaching moms and their children where they live, work, play and vote in an unprecedented and innovative national campaign, including:
-
Mom volunteers at select voting locations ready with toys, games, coloring pages, bubbles, and other fun activities for kids to help make voting fun for kids and parents in order to help increase voter turnout,
-
More than 400,000 infrequent mom voters via mom-to-mom volunteer texts in the last 100 hours alone,
-
A robust mom-to-mom handwritten postcard campaign reaching 140,000 infrequent mom voters,
-
Online distribution of coloring pages to MomsRising’s million-person membership and others for busy parents to use with kids while waiting in voting lines,
-
Leveraging publicly available voter file information for social media to directly reach and inspire millions of infrequent voting moms to vote this year, and
-
More than 2 million direct voter contacts through text, mail and postcards.
Moms are all in this election, urging and supporting other moms to vote like never before.

The Be A Voter, Raise A Voter campaign accomplishments include making direct contact with low-propensity mom voters nearly 1.8 million times through paid texts and postcard distribution; helping push out the vote in states experiencing voter suppression (including Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, North Carolina, Ohio and Wisconsin) through hundreds of thousands of calls and texts from volunteers over the last week; directly reaching low-propensity voting moms on multiple social media platforms; and supporting on-the-ground voter turnout with children’s activities at the polls and at early voting parties, including in California, Colorado, Florida, New Hampshire, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Washington state.
Other tools and tactics in the Be A Voter, Raise A Voter campaign include fun, funny videos; personalized mom-to-mom postcards; calls and texts that remind busy women to vote; mini-marches to the polls; voting squads and voting parties; mailings to persuade busy moms to make time to vote; and social media ads that focus on mom voters.
“Our members are tremendously enthusiastic about voting this year, and have been deeply engaged in this effort,” said Kristin Rowe-Finkbeiner, CEO and executive director of MomsRising, an online and on-the-ground organization of more than one million mothers and their families. “We want what’s best for our kids, our families and our future. We’re seeing moms supporting moms in voting all over the country because we recognize that one of the best ways to make the best future for our children is to use our power at the polls. That’s why so many MomsRising members signed up to call other moms to remind them to vote, sent postcards, held voter parties, shared content online, and much more. Mom-to-mom, friend-to-friend, kid-to-kid, MomsRising is bringing mom voters to the polls.”
