It’s go time! Congress is negotiating now to decide what will be in the care infrastructure package that they hope to pass within weeks. We need to keep the pressure on!

It’s mission critical that equal pay becomes a reality for ALL women and people because when we experience a wage gap in our paychecks, the overall wealth gap widens across gender and race. When the wealth gap widens for communities already experiencing systemic forces of oppression, like racism, transphobia, xenophobia, and/or ableism, the opportunity gap for our lives and families *also* worsens.

There are still 12 states that have refused to expand Medicaid to low-income adults under the Affordable Care Act. The majority of the over 2 million people who are currently in this “coverage gap” in these states are people of color. Tell your members of Congress to pass a federal solution to close the Medicaid coverage gap!

Debbie Dingell (D-MI), and other congressional leaders will join moms, parents, caregivers, and caregiving advocates at a news conference on Thursday, Oct. 21 at 12:30 pm to press for a care infrastructure in the Build Back Better budget reconciliation bill.
