While many parents are focused on the holidays, some members of Congress are trying to roll back nutrition guidelines in school lunch!! Setting our kids up for more nutrition-related diseases is not the way for Congress to wish families Happy Holidays.

We need your help again today to protect the progress schools are making to improve the nutrition and quality of school lunches.

School lunches are getting better. More than 90% of schools are serving more fruits, vegetables, and whole grains.
But some members of Congress are working to roll back this progress as they reconvene for the lame duck session. They say they just want to provide schools with a little “flexibility,” but in reality their proposed bill would significantly roll back progress, including on whole grains, trans fat, fruits, vegetables, and salt.

Schools need support, mentoring, and technical assistance to meet challenges, not a free pass to serve junk to kids. And kids need nutrition standards based on science, not politics.

Please urge your Members of Congress not to turn back the clock on school foods and help ensure that all children have access to healthy foods at school.

Thank you! Together we're a voice for healthy kids and families!
