Want to participate in the Women’s March but can’t make it to DC? Come march with MomsRising at the Women’s March for Morganton!

MomsRising is excited to be participating in this local march and our local steering team member Pam will be on hand with signs and stickers to share! Kids are welcome and encouraged.

Here are all the details:

When: Saturday, January 21st, 10:30 am, with march to begin at 11 am.

Where: Meet in front of the Burke County Democratic Party in downtown Morganton located at 310 South Sterling Street, Morganton, North Carolina 28655

What: Participants will march through downtown Morganton to the town square where a circle of solidarity will be formed. Participants can choose to share their story and their call for unity within the circle. Afterwards, marchers will return to the headquarters for a reception and to watch footage from Washington and the more than 250 worldwide sister marches. This is a nonpartisan event and all are welcome.

A route is being selected that will be as level as possible to accommodate those with mobility issues. Participants are asked to wear teal shirts if they would like.
