WE WON! Health care was just saved in an extremely close vote in the U.S. Senate late last night!

 

Never doubt that your voice, your stories, and your phone calls, can make a difference. It does. Last night's health care vote is the proof.

 

**We want to take a moment to say something important to you: THANK YOU! Thank you for taking hundreds of thousands of actions, making calls, signing onto letters, sharing your health care experiences, attending meetings, speaking out to members of Congress, and so, so, so much more! You. Were. Heard!**

 

Help us spread the gratitude around by taking a quick moment to thank the members of Congress who stood up for us by voting NO on the disastrous "Skinny Bill” last night which would have kicked over 10 million people off health care, particularly Republican Senators Susan Collins (R-ME), Lisa Murkowski (R-AK), John McCain (R- AZ) and each and every single Democrat in the U.S. Senate. (Yes, every single one of them!)

 

 

Our card simply reads: "Thank you for hearing our voices and for standing up for our families and economy by voting down a disastrous health care bill. We saw what you did, appreciate you, and will remember that you stood up for families!"

 

We’ll be delivering the signatures on a Thank You card to every member of the U.S. Senate who stood up for health care, for families, and for our economy in the coming weeks — so please be sure to sign on ASAP and also to post the link to sign on your Facebook and Twitter accounts. Let’s give U.S. Senators a big enough Thank You card that those who voted the right way know we appreciate them—and also so that those who voted the wrong way know they should never, ever try to gut health care again in the future because moms, dads, and families are paying attention, taking names, and have long memories!

 

 

Why is it important to say ‘Thank You’? The fight isn’t over and Republicans are sure to regroup and come back with more attempts to repeal the Affordable Care Act (ACA/Obamacare) and gut Medicaid. (In fact, the Trump administration is still taking actions to sabotage Obamacare and Medicaid is already facing massive cuts in the upcoming budget battle.) So saying thank you allows us to not only celebrate this victory, but also to use the momentum to let every member of Congress know that we will NOT not tolerate the attacks on our families’ health care!

 

And please also give yourself a hug from us. We so deeply appreciate of all you’ve been doing. A recent survey found that a huge proportion of the activists opposing the Trump agenda are women. We are having an incredible impact together.
