USE YOUR VOICE! Tell us about the wonderful immigrant caregivers in your life!
“One of our son’s home health aides is from Haiti and she truly loves him and makes sure he’s getting great care. Her dedication and friendship have made her a part of our family and we all look forward to her time with us, from work days to holidays and anything in between.”
– Christopher from Pennsylvania
Day-after-day immigrant caregivers help keep families and children, like Christopher’s, healthy and safe! They are truly unsung heroes!
Across the country immigrants make up more than 18% of the nation's healthcare workers, 18% of childcare workers, 27% of the direct care workforce, and nearly 13% of the education workforce. Moms are so thankful for the countless contributions immigrants make to keep families and kids healthy, educated, and safe! A great way to thank these unsung heroes is to lift up their contributions and share their story.
SIGN NOW to protect SNAP!
Right now, the U.S. Congress is considering legislation (the Farm Bill) that determines policies and funding for SNAP. The Senate has a bipartisan Farm Bill that aids farmers and protects the food assistance SNAP provides to over 42 million people each month. The Republican-led House proposal, on the other hand, weakens SNAP, cutting roughly $30 billion in benefits over the next decade.
