ShaRanda Stephens is the Director of Human Resources at MomsRising. As a Human Resources professional, she is dedicated to equity, transparency, and is the kind of leader you can trust to do what’s right. Before joining MomsRising, she was the Senior Manager of Employee Engagement at Leadership for Educational Equity, where she led the engagement strategy, managed human resource administrative functions, and on-boarded/off boarded over 250 employees.  

ShaRanda earned her Bachelor’s in Healthcare Management with a Minor in Deaf Studies, from Winston-Salem State University and is also a Certified Professional from the Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM-CP). She deeply believes in the power of caring for one another. To MomsRising, she brings the practice of listening well, the ability to hit the ground running, and an innate ability to understand what is needed and get it done.

ShaRanda currently lives in North Carolina with her husband and twin daughters. Outside of work you'll find her living her passion for strengthening communities through connection. She is a member and leader in a myriad of community organizations including Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. and the National Association of African Americans in Human Resources. She serves as a Committee Chair for the HBCU Collective; a team lead for Monument of Faith Church; and a content creator for the Justice through Policy Reform PAC. She also loves traveling and throws a mean party!
