I have been a Montessori Pre-K teacher for the last 15 years. I love early childhood education and it's been a passion of mine since I started working my first job at age 12. I turned my passion into advocacy when I joined the MomsRising Washington State Fellowship and then worked for MomsRising as a Campaign Associate. I learned so much about the legislative process that it was hard not to keep this momentum going. I recently just accomplished a long-time goal of mine which was graduating from college. I recently got my AA in applied science with an emphasis on social justice. I'm a full time student now working on my BA in Early Childhood Education. And I am currently in a fellowship through Northwest Pathwaves and working on advocacy amongst 9 fabulous women of color.
I am a ferocious mama to Malcolm-Xion Reynolds and loving wife to Travis. I love reading, hanging out with my family, buying shoes, and advocating for young children of color. I am so grateful to be a part of MomsRising because I now get the opportunity to show my son that he can change the world!
