Excuse Our Fowl Language, But What the Duck? 

MomsRising Members with Rubber Duckies to Greet Members of Congress Tuesday Morning, Urging Them to Make a Big Splash for Moms During the Lame-Duck Session

 

 

Tuesday morning from 8:30 – 9:45 am, outside Russell Senate Office Building at the corner of Constitution and Delaware Avenues NE, moms will flock together to call on Congress to be Mighty Ducks during the lame-duck session by making a big splash for moms and families before the end of the year. Some participants will be dressed as ducks.

Who: MomsRising members 

What: Urgent call to Congress to pass the policies moms and families need this year

When/Where: 8:30 – 9:45 am Tuesday, December 13, 2022, outside the Russell Senate Office Building, Constitution and Delaware Avenue NE, Washington, D.C.

Why: To call on Congress to pass family-friendly policies by the end of the year:

·   Extend the expanded Child Tax Credit

·   Pass the Pregnant Workers Fairness Act

·   Pass maternal health and mental health policies

·   Invest in home-and community-based services

·   Protect hundreds of thousands of Dreamers and immigrant families

·   Advance early learning and child care solutions by doubling resources for child care
