TAKE ACTION: Say "Thank You" to the Baltimore Ravens!
Great news! Last year's Super Bowl champs, the Baltimore Ravens, have agreed to champion new health coverage options! They'll be teaming up with Maryland's new health insurance marketplace, Maryland Health Connection, to help make sure their fans know that they may be eligible for new, affordable health coverage plans starting October 1st.

This is a big deal! The Ravens can help reach the approximately 800,0000 people in Maryland who are uninsured and let them know that they can now qualify for affordable health coverage. In fact, approximately 71 percent of uninsured people watched, attended, or listened to a Ravens game last year. They are the right people to carry this important health message!
We all need to play a role in getting the word out. Nationally, there are currently 48 million uninsured people, most of whom are in low income, working families. Unfortunately, only 22 percent of the uninsured population are even aware that new coverage options are coming available. Having health insurance makes a big difference in whether people get the medical care they need and knowing what coverage options are available is the first step toward better health.
The NFL as a whole has not yet agreed to share information about the new healthcare law with their fans, but if we let the Ravens know that we appreciate their efforts to do the right thing, other teams may follow their lead!
Can you send a quick thank you note on Twitter to the Ravens?
