Boo!
Friends, your October MOMentum was a scream!
Thanks to the support of so many generous donors like you, participation in our Be a Voter, Raise a Voter MomsVote program was wickedly good, from over 14,500 volunteers handwriting and sending nearly a million postcards to remind people to vote, to registration drives, to reaching Latina voters through What’s App, and MUCH more. Moms are fired up to vote this year!
Read on for MomsVote and more of the boo-tiful MOMentum you made possible this month. We’re overflowing like a Halloween candy bowl with gratitude for your energy and support.
Let’s go!

Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA), the program that ensures people who were brought to the U.S. as children can live and work in the communities where they grew up, is in grave peril. Tell your member of Congress to act before it’s too late!
BE A VOTER, RAISE A VOTER
Powered up by supporters like you, our groundbreaking “Be a Voter, Raise a Voter” MomsVote program kicked into high gear moving voters to the polls on (or before) Nov. 8th!
- RESOURCES: Check where and how you can vote!
- VOTER POSTCARDS: Nearly a million handwritten mom-to-mom postcards are in the mail RIGHT NOW reminding infrequent mom voters to vote
- TEXTING: Launched just a few days ago, our volunteer texting program will help tens of thousands of moms find their polling place, see their ballot, and make a plan to vote
- WHATSAPP: We’re using the messaging platform to help Latina voters register, learn about issues, find their polling places and get to the polls
- DEADLINE REMINDERS: Helpful Ready, Set, VOTE! State Guides for voting are ready for Alaska, Arizona, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Michigan, New Hampshire, New Jersey, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Washington, West Virginia, and Wisconsin
- INSPIRATION: Be a beacon of hope for other moms and families by making your mark as a voter on the map
- IDEAS: Crafts, activities, and ideas to celebrate voting with your kids
Kerri, see how powerful your gift is? When moms vote, moms win!
TBEAR RISING
“I’ve always been the ‘introverted quiet girl’ and I learned being quiet is a great way to truly listen to people.”
This month we shined a light on Super Mom organizer and MomsRising Beacon Community Hub Leader Toshia (TBear). Your contributions help women like Toshia build mom power in their communities and make change at the local, state, and national levels.
Find out what inspired her to become a Beacon, why she has an affinity for bears and her message to future Beacons: TBear Rising: An Interview with Volunteer Super Mom Organizer Toshia
CELEBRATIONS
In other MOMentum, together we celebrated Indigenous Peoples’ Day, National Coming Out Day, Diwali, and Youth Justice Action Month.
