Kamilah A. Pickett is a passionate and hopeful advocate for the mental, social and physical health of children and young adults. Born in Detroit and raised in Atlanta, Kamilah is a public health professional, lawyer, youth advocate, aspiring writer, part-time performer and accidental organizer. She has extensive experience in program development and implementation, policy advocacy, training development and community outreach. For the past eight years Kamilah has worked to foster better physical and mental healthcare outcomes for underserved and underrepresented populations, including Medicare and Medicaid beneficiaries and children and youth with special needs.
Kamilah believes wholeheartedly in the value of honest, open communication and in the power of revolution.
She is also aunt to three of the greatest, most wonderful beings ever created.
