Linda Derschang started her career as a restaurateur in 1994 when she partnered with the owners of Sub Pop Records to open Linda’s Tavern, a neighborhood dive bar that has become an institution in Seattle’s Capitol Hill neighborhood. With her unique eye for design and style and 25 years in the bar and restaurant industry, she is one of the architects of contemporary bar and restaurant culture in Seattle. Since 1994, her restaurant group has grown in the Capitol Hill neighborhood with the seasonal pub-restaurant Smith, the all-day, all-night neighborhood restaurant Oddfellows cafe + bar and Little Oddfellows in Elliott Bay Books. Linda also owns King’s Hardware, a popular bar in Seattle's Ballard neighborhood, and in September of 2018 Linda re-imagined Queen City in Belltown in an iconic space that is possibly the oldest bar in Seattle. In total Linda has launched twelve successful bars and restaurants, all while staying closely committed to the community and causes she's passionate about, like women reproductive rights.
