Emily Anesta is a mom of two and an advocate for maternal health, access to midwives, and birth justice. Since 2018, Emily has been serving as Board President of the Foundation for the Advancement of Midwifery (FAM) which makes grants to support research, advocacy, public education, and birth equity in North America. She founded the Bay State Birth Coalition with the mission to expand access to midwives in Massachusetts. Emily was an Executive Producer of the documentary “Why Not Home.”
Emily Anesta has a Master and Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering. For over a decade, she led technology research and development projects at MIT.
