Billionaires Are Draining Our Classrooms – And Using Your Kids to Line Their Pockets
Imagine there’s more than enough public money to fully fund your child’s quality education, but instead of going to their classroom, it’s getting funneled into unaccountable private schools – some of which get to pick and choose which kids they even let through the door.
Here’s the deal: School vouchers take our hard-earned tax dollars—the ones meant for our neighborhood public schools—and hand them over to private schools, many of which aren’t required to follow the same rules, provide the same services, or accept every student. This means less money for smaller class sizes, less support for kids who need it, and fewer resources for public schools that educate every child, no matter their background, ability, or zip code.
And who’s pushing these schemes? Billionaires who see public education as a business. They’re treating our kids like a line item in their investment portfolios, and they’ve got some politicians on their side to make sure the cash keeps flowing away from our classrooms and into their pockets.
