Florida 2024 - 2025 Delegation Meetings
Wish you could tell your state representatives what is important to your family without having to go to Tallahassee? Have you heard of delegation meetings yet?
Well I hadn’t and I went to my first delegation meeting last year and it was AMAZING.
Here is the download. Legislative delegation meetings are public meetings (as in anyone can sign up to speak and can attend!) happening in each region of Florida before the start of a new state legislative session. Who goes to these? Everyone who needs to hear directly from YOU!
Florida Senators and Representatives from each local district attend these meetings to hear from their constituents what their top concerns are this legislative session. People attend these public meetings to identify solutions and share concerns on what we are seeing in our communities. If you want to see your elected officials make positive changes and fight for the issues you most care about, your local delegation is an important tool in that ever growing momma advocate toolbox.
***LOOK BELOW AT THE LIST OF UPCOMING MEETINGS AND DEADLINES TO SIGN UP TO SPEAK. Please note that for the majority you will first need to email the main contact to ask for the sign up form. Where available online, I have included the direct form link.***
Want to speak at a delegation meeting about child care, education, and other issues impacting our families, but want to talk it through with someone first or get support on the process? Sign up here and I will reach out to you ahead of your local delegation meeting: https://action.momsrising.org/survey/DelMeetings2024/
