The holiday season has begun! Are you as excited as I am? The food, parties, crafts and did I mention food? It's no wonder I can't stop humming "It'sThe Most Wonderful Time Of The Year!" I live for this time of the year and enjoy every single moment of it!
Yet, the one aspect I wish we could all leave out of the holiday season are those pesky extra pounds that seem to creep out on us. Did you know that the average weight gain during the holidays is about one pound? Making matter worse is that the average weight gain during adulthood is 1-2 pounds per year! It may not sound like much but as we age that extra pound (or three!) become harder and harder to lose.
This #FoodFri we're happy to be discussing healthy holiday options! Join @MomsRising and @CSPI on Friday, November 21, 2014, at 1 pm, EST / 10 am to share and get tips for how to enjoy the holiday season healthfully.
Together, we can brainstorm ideas to help us enjoy the season and leave the extra pound (or three!) behind!

More about our #FoodFri Featured Panelist(s):
Since 1971, CSPI has been a strong advocate for nutrition and health, food safety, alcohol policy, and sound science.
Founded by executive director Michael Jacobson, Ph.D. and two other scientists, CSPI carved out a niche as the organized voice of the American public on nutrition, food safety, health and other issues during a boom of consumer and environmental protection awareness in the early 1970s. CSPI has long sought to educate the public, advocate government policies that are consistent with scientific evidence on health and environmental issues, and counter industry’s powerful influence on public opinion and public policies.
