As we get closer and closer to Election Day, we wanted to give you a hopeful update: MomsRising has a bigger GOTV program than we thought possible, many more volunteers than anticipated, and a higher impact on getting out the mom vote than we even expected.  Power and change are growing. And thanks to the incredible MomsRising community, we’re delighted to share these inspiring milestones getting out the vote, shaping the national narrative, and building a movement so every family can thrive: 

GOTV VOLUNTEERS - 75,025+

• A record-breaking 75,025 (and still rising) volunteers have signed up and are working now to help get out the vote.

HAND-WRITTEN POSTCARDS - 5,000,000+

• MomsRising volunteers are handwriting and sending more than 5 million pre-addressed postcards to low frequency mom voters. The pre-printed postcards, to which moms are adding personalized messages, say: We love our kids more than anything. Vote for our freedoms, our families, our futures. 

MOM-TO-MOM TEXTS - 20,000,000+

• Volunteers are in the process of sending 20 million mom-to-mom GOTV texts before Election Day.

PHONE CALLS - 1,000,000+

• Phoning 1 million mom voters to encourage them to make a plan to vote.

LOCAL EVENTS - 2,025+ 

• MomsRising members are organizing at least 2,025 GOTV events, including 95 big events in Arizona, Georgia, Montana, Nevada, North Carolina, Ohio, and Pennsylvania. For example, MomsRising is bringing its signature Super Voter Treasure Boxes to more than 70 key polling places throughout North Carolina. The treasure boxes have small toys, stickers, tattoos, and other fun items to keep kids occupied while their parents and caregivers vote. MAMASVOTAN - SPANISH-LANGUAGE GOTV

• MomsRising is reaching out to Latina mom voters by radio, text, local events, and more!  For instance, our expanded Spanish-language program in Arizona and Nevada is reaching tens of thousands of Latina moms at Zumba parties and community events, where moms are talking about the importance of voting.

DIGITAL ADS & NATIONAL NARRATIVE SHAPING

• We also have digital ads targeting low-propensity mom voters out in key areas, including an ad that lifts up the joy of motherhood and the fun of voting with kids, family, and friends. We are proud to share that our joyful video of moms and kids dancing outperformed one of the most highly acclaimed voter mobilization videos in random control group testing. We also are pushing a tremendous amount of content across multiple platforms. Turns out, moms know how to message to moms!

• Amazing MomsRising volunteers are rising with power across the nation and we’ve been thrilled to receive thousands of fun photos of moms, dads, grandparents, kids, and even cats and dogs at MomsRising GOTV events, including with our MomsRising voter postcards (designed by digital illustrator Natalie Bui). Here are just a couple of the pictures.
