Governor Jerry Brown has landmark legislation heading to his desk that would ban the toxic chemical bisphenol-A (BPA) in baby bottles and sippy cups. [1] We need your help to make sure it gets signed into law.
Help us keep California kids safe!

With 2 billion pounds of BPA produced annually in the US, it's no wonder that 93% of Americans have detectable levels of BPA in their bodies. BPA isn’t just in our bodies; it’s in our babies, who have BPA levels that are 11 times higher than adults.[2] Hundreds of studies have linked BPA to serious health problems, including cancer, heart disease, obesity, and a number of reproductive problems.[3]
Now is our chance to take some BPA off the market and protect our kids. The Toxin-Free Infants and Toddlers Act is only one signature away from becoming law.
Help get it signed into law now: http://action.momsrising.org/letter/2011-CA-BPA-Governor/
We already know there are plenty of safer alternatives to using BPA in containers. In fact, Minnesota, Connecticut, Washington, and Maryland have already successfully banned BPA from baby bottles and/or sippy cups, along with several other cities and counties. [4] It's clear that alternatives to BPA exist, and it’s about time we got this dangerous chemical out of items are kids touch every day.

Together, we can help make this a safer, healthier state for California families.
