Alyssa Peterson is a staff member of TalkPoverty.org at the Center for American Progress. TalkPoverty.org is is dedicated to demonstrating that we know how to dramatically reduce poverty. It is a bridge between local and national voices, grassroots activism and policy work, and those who are struggling and those who are more economically secure.
Prior to joining the team, Alyssa served as a policy analyst in the Office of Vice President Joe Biden, where she was a member of the White House Task Force to Protect Students from Sexual Assault. She also serves as a domestic violence advocate.
