Kathy is the founder of The Hot Mommas Project, an award winning women’s leadership venture and the world’s largest women’s case study library providing free online access to stories of female role models and mentors. Through exposure to online role-models and mentors, the project's mission is to increase self-efficacy of women and girls across the globe, in turn opening their career opportunities. Seminars developed from The Hot Mommas Project case studies, as well as Frey’s research, are proven to boost self-confidence women and girls between 20 and 200 percent. Research for The Hot Mommas Project is housed at the George Washington School of Business, Center for Entrepreneurial Excellence.
Kathy earned her MBA from Harvard Business School and is currently Entrepreneur in Residence at the George Washington School of Business where she teaches the award-winning Women’s Entrepreneurial Leadership class. She is a regular speaker on the topics of women’s leadership and education, mentorship, and work-life balance.
Kathy lives in DC with entrepreneur husband Josh Frey, their two children, Maxwell and Lilah, and dog Foxy.
