Kristen Sheppard is a proud mother of three amazing boys. Her oldest son is she and her husband’s biological son. She and her husband then adopted a child from the foster care system, after struggling with infertility issues. Her youngest son was placed with them at age 4, and later adopted at age 5. When her youngest son’s biological brother turned 18, and had runaway from the foster care system, Kristen and her husband stepped in as parental figures for him. After many years of struggles with her youngest son, and struggling to understand what was actually happening, her youngest received a diagnosis of Intellectual Disabilities. Later, at age 18, he was also diagnosed with Schizophrenia. As a social worker for nearly three decades, Kristen understood the challenges that she and her husband would face in order to obtain all the services needed for their son. She is an online only therapist with almost 30 years of experience. As a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Vermont she is able to provide counseling via telehealth to residents of all 3 states. She is also a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Florida as an Out-of-State Telehealth Provider. She holds several certifications in trauma, LGBTQIA2+ issues, CBT, DBT, Addictions, Anxiety, and Grief.
