Quiana Williams served as a Campaign Associate with the Youth and Family Justice campaign at MomsRising.
Quiana is from the Seattle area and has worked in Social Services, supporting community based initiatives for over 17 years. Quiana is an advocate for heart centered action and is very passionate about creating inclusion, diversity, and equality in the community. Quiana’s professional background has includes working closely with underserved youth who has been pushed out from the public school system. While working with dropout reengagement organizations, it has been clear that the educational gaps affecting students can often be determined by racial and socioeconomic indicators. Quiana is committed to work that dismantles these disparities by holding government, organizations, and schools accountable to communities of color. As an advocate she want to help build a better and more equitable world for all youth and their families. She strongly believe in building thriving communities that are empowered to transform institutions and systems. Quiana’s is family orientated and loves spending time with her son and family. She also enjoys hiking, weight training, reading, and traveling.
