I’ve got good news! After hearing from thousands of California MomsRising members, GovernorJerry Brown and the California Legislature approved a budget that includes important investments in our state’s early care and education system.
The budget that GovernorBrown signed includes more than $300 million in investments in our littlest learners, including increasing access, childcare provider reimbursement rates, and improvements in quality of childcare and early education in our home state.
The voices of parents and others who care about children were heard!
Can you show your support for these investments in our littlest learners by signing our thank you note to Governor Brown and the California legislature? http://action.momsrising.org/sign/ThankYouCABrown/
Thank you notes are an important way to send the message that we are paying attention to what the legislature and our Governor are doing and that we care about the needs of California's children!
While much work remains to be done so that ALL of our kids have these opportunities, this is a major step in the right direction for our state and for the country as a whole. One in eight of our nation’s children lives in California.
These investments by Governor Brown and the state legislature will give tens of thousands more California kids, including those with special needs, access to higher quality early learning opportunities. And investing in early learning makes sense for our economy. In fact, every dollar invested in early learning provides $8 in benefits down the line.
Please sign onto our thank you note, letting our California leaders know that we appreciate their investments in our littlest learners and share this message with your friends! http://action.momsrising.org/sign/ThankYouCABrown/
Thank you for all that you do for families across our state and the country! Onward and forward!
