A2. I've always been a chubby kid, but it really began as a freshman in 9th gr--I didn't eat b'fast & only had a soda for lunch. #foodfri

Want to ensure the weight stays off? Crowding out seems to be the key! And like Better Bites (@Snack_Strong), we like it too!
We like it! MT @irinagonzalez health coach tip: "crowding out" foods, eating more veggies #FoodFri

Just make sure you don't skip.
Many people think they can avoid putting on extra weight by skipping meals. This is a bad idea! Much better to eat healthy often. #FoodFri — Vida Saludable (@AHA_Vida) January 10, 2014
And, don't forget to mimic your Abuelita/grandmom, she had the right idea!
.@myhippiehome @MomsRising Yes, I'm a big proponent of "if my abuelita didn't didn't eat it (processed foods), it's not for me." #FoodFri — Irina Gonzalez (@irinagonzalez) January 10, 2014
Home-made seems to be key.
.@mcbyrne I love breakfast, but I opt for #homemade oatmeal over store-bought cereals, which can have a lot of sugar. #FoodFri — Irina Gonzalez (@irinagonzalez) January 10, 2014
#FoodFri participants chimed in sharing their knowledge as well!
Want your weight loss resolution to succeed, avoid "want more" foods. They are addictive and will have your body riding a merry-go-round.
@healthyplate5 @myhippiehome @MomsRising We call them "want-more" foods http://t.co/RNpQPaWcjw #foodfri — Casey Hinds (@CaseyHinds) January 10, 2014
@MomsRising just like drugs. Fills that hole temporarily and makes you want more. Very addictive foods out there - vicious circle. #FoodFri

And, it wouldn't be #FoodFri without a recipe. This 140 character recipe was so easy peasy, I implemented it that night!
To make the easiest oatmeal EVER in the #slowcooker overnight: 1c. steel cut oats + 4c. water + 3-4 mashed bananas. 7hrs on low. #FoodFri

Till next #FoodFri, like Christy Wilson, @ChristysChomp, we hope you give yourself a high five each time you eat healthy!
@MsLatina @irinagonzalez @healthyplate5 Using my slow cooker is like giving myself a high-5 at dinner time. #foodfri ✋
