Why are Pittsburgh kids making superhero capes at the Children’s Museum on December 9, 2014 at 9:30am?

Because it’s fun (obviously!) and when kids have access to quality health coverage, they can be the super heroes they were born to be.

RSVP and join us for a free event at the Children’s Museum on December 9th to thank Mayor Peduto for working to ensure all Pittsburgh kids can be superheroes!

MomsRising and our partner organizations -Consumer Health Coalition, Healthy Together, and Allies for Children-  are coming together to hand-deliver a giant “Thank You!” card to Mayor Peduto’s office for their work (and the work of local leaders) to decrease the number of uninsured children in the city while children in the community make their own super healthy kid capes.

Here is what you need to know about this FREE event:

  • When: Tuesday, December 9th, 2014 9:30am—11am
  • Where: Children’s Museum of Pittsburgh, 10 Children's Way Allegheny Square,Pittsburgh, PA 15212
  • What: Enjoy light refreshments, crafting, and passes to the museum while you represent hundreds of local Pittsburgh families by delivering their giant thank you card to the Mayor’s office.
  • Who: Parents in the Pittsburgh area and YOU (and your kids!).

RSVP here so you don’t miss this opportunity to meet other parents, entertain your kids, and make a difference!

By joining us to deliver this thank you, you’ll be representing the hundreds of Pittsburgh parents who signed the open letter, but couldn’t make it in person. Your presence will amplify our Thank You message to the Mayor and show him that ensuring kids have access to quality, affordable health coverage is an important issue for Pittsburgh families!

If you have questions about the event, drop them in the comments below!

Hope you can join us!
