Personal stories are not only important for social change, but also for policy change. It is sometimes simple for lawmakers to look at numbers and balance sheets, and not realize that the decisions they make can have life and death consequences.

When it comes to the ever changing landscape of public policy - we all eventually have a relatable story to share, and there are a lot of ways you can do it. At MomsRising, sharing stories is an integral part of every step of our advocacy process.

Recently, I hosted a workshop for advocates to learn best practices for using the power of your voice and your experiences through storytelling to shift narratives and advocate for policies and systems changes. I invite you to watch the workshop below and to share it with fellow advocates as a resource.

Be sure to also share YOUR story with us at https://momsrising.soapboxx.us/prompt-single/familyvideos.

Your voice is powerful!
