It’s no secret that child care continues to be unaffordable and inaccessible for most families while child care providers are paid poverty level wages. This is why we need concerned voters to turn out and turn up for child care this election! This and all elections are an important opportunity to champion child care policies that will lift our nation’s moms, children, families and caregivers.

What does it mean to be a child care voter? It means believing that families should have access to comprehensive, affordable, high-quality early care and education opportunities that provide for a well-trained and compensated workforce, while giving families the freedom of choice to have their children in spaces where they are safe, loved and learning. It means wanting our families to thrive, being informed on the current state of child care and being a resource for others around you who want to join the movement supporting child care.

Voting helps ensure that leaders understand the real life challenges that America’s families are facing. ALL 435 seats in the United States House of Representatives and 34 of the 100 seats in the United States Senate will be up for election this November. This is the right time to make sure that we are louder than ever on the need for child care.
