 Increasing the minimum wage will boost our economy. Two-thirds of minimum wage workers are women and many are moms.  Women make three-quarters of all purchasing decisions in our consumer-fueled economy, and when women don’t have adequate funds to spend then our whole economy suffers. 

Increasing the minimum wage would boost our communities and the overall economy by providing more people with income to spend on the basics in stores across the nation, yet the U.S. Senate has had only one failed attempt to vote on the bill that would raise the minimum wage and the U.S. House of Representatives has done nothing at all!
