RSVP: FREE family fun event at Hattiesburg, MS Zoo on July 25th!
You’re invited to our celebration in Hattiesburg!
The event is free (a great chance to visit the zoo!) and it’s designed to give parents and kids a fun way to say, “Thank you!” to your local leaders.
MomsRising and our partners at E³ Health Initiative are coming together to hand deliver the giant “Thank You!” card YOU signed to Mayor Dupree and City Council members, Kim Bradley, Deborah Delgado, Carter Carroll, Mary Dryden, and Henry Naylor. The “Thank You” card recognizes their work to decrease the number of uninsured children in the city and to ask them to continue their work to improve children's health in Hattiesburg.
Here is what you need to know about this FREE event (Note - you must RSVP to collect free tickets):
When: Saturday, July 25th, 10:30am
Where: Hattiesburg Zoo, 107 S 17th Ave, Hattiesburg, MS, 39401
What: Hand-deliver a giant “Thank You” card signed by families across Mississippi to the Mayor and city leaders in person followed by a brief press conference. More information on how to collect your free tickets will be sent to you via email after your RSVP.
Who: Parents & kids in the Hattiesburg area (that means YOU if you are in the area. Come as you are - there’s no need to dress up or read up on the issue! Your presence is enough.)
Our gathering is a fun, easy way to thank the mayor and city council members for their leadership and stand up in support for health coverage for kids. And by joining us, you’ll be representing all the Mississippi parents who signed the open letter, but couldn’t make it in person. If you have any questions about the event, email me at healthbeat@momsrising.org.
Hope you can join us! Our voices will send a powerful message and together we can make sure children in Mississippi get the health coverage they need to stay healthy.
Didn’t get a chance to sign the giant “Thank You” card? You can sign it here or share this link with friends and family so they can sign too: http://action.momsrising.org/sign/Hattiesburg_Thank_You/?source=blog
