Carolyn Jeppsen is the CEO, president and co-founder of BroadFutures. Jeppsen founded BroadFutures in 2013 with partners Diana Eisenstat, program director, co-founder and Bradley Holmes, chairman of the board of directors, co-founder. In her role, Jeppsen is responsible for the overall management and operations of BroadFutures, as well as strategic vision, fundraising, and program creation and implementation.

Jeppsen is passionate when it comes to developing solutions for individuals with disabilities. As such, she has devoted over 10 years to serving on boards that support individuals with disabilities in the Washington, D.C., area, including The Kingsbury Center, an educational institution serving children and adults with learning disabilities, and The River School, an educational institution with a model inclusion program for children with hearing loss. Jeppsen has held numerous board leadership positions, including secretary and member of the executive, nominating, finance and development committees.

Jeppsen currently serves as an advisory board member for The Massachusetts General Hospital Aspire Program, Lexington, Massachusetts, and the River School, Washington, D.C.  She also serves on the Leadership Council of the Hospital for Sick Children Foundations’ Youth Transitions Collaborative, Washington, D.C., and as a member of the Board of Trustees of Poise.  In addition, Jeppsen previously chaired strategic planning efforts including a CEO transition and permanent search, as well as drafting numerous board governance documents.

Before her work at BroadFutures, Jeppsen served as a civil litigator, focusing her efforts on such issues as defense and coverage, medical malpractice and professional liability. Jeppsen authored two articles during her legal career – RTC and FDIC Administrative Subpoenas, The Review of Banking & Financial Services, Vol. 11, No. 21, Dec. 13, 1995, and The Use of Administrative Subpoenas, Lecturer: Practicing Law Institute: “Defending Bank Directors,” October 1995.

Jeppsen earned a bachelor’s degree in philosophy and French from Colby College, Waterville, Maine, and received her Juris Doctor from George Washington University National Law Center, Washington, D.C. Jeppsen also received a certificate of non-profit executive management from Georgetown University, Washington, D.C.
