The Honest Company is on a mission of giving today's parents the access "better" products that are safer, more effective & natural, and fairly priced, without toxic and risky ingredients - promoting educational awareness and healthier, happier children.
"Parents get a lot of advice about what to feed their children and how to baby-proof their home," he says, "but many are still completely unaware of the toxic risks posed by everyday basics found in many products, like diapers, home cleaners, body washes, and laundry soaps. Yet, there's growing scientific and medical consensus that some chemicals used in these products are linked to chronic diseases like asthma, ADHD, behavioral disorders, and even cancer."
A father of 3 children, Gavigan is the former CEO of Healthy Child Healthy World - a national nonprofit empowering parents to protect their children from toxic risks. He is also is the author of a best-selling book “Healthy Child Healthy World: Creating a Cleaner, Greener, Safer Home,” and has been instrumental in catapulting environmental health messages into millions of homes worldwide with a collaborative non-profit partnerships and media alliances. He has published articles in the New York Times, Huffington Post, People, Discovery, USA Today, and was interviewed on radio (Oprah and National Public Radio) and appeared on CNN and “Good Morning America”.
Mr. Gavigan is the Chief Advisor for the Green Product Innovation Institute. He served as the Chief Executive Officer at Healthy Child Healthy World. In the process of building this organization, he designed strategic partnerships with Google, WebMD, Target, Seventh Generation, Microsoft, Babycenter, Universal Studios, Whole Foods, and many other market leaders in the area of formulation compliance and consumer marketing.
Christopher sits on the Board of Directors of Mount Sinai Hospital’s Children Environmental Health Center, and the Advisory Board of UCLA Environmental Health Sciences Department. He serves as a Member of Advisory Board of thinkOperations, LLC. He serves as a Member of the Board of Advisors at The Cradle, LLC. He served as a Member of Advisory Board of SAIL Capital Partners LLC.
Christopher graduated from the University of California, Santa Barbara with a double major in Environmental Science and Business, and did Postgraduate work in Child and Family Psychology at UCLA.
