Cindy Bautista-Thomas is an Afro-Latina of Dominican descent, born and raised in the Bronx. She has a passion for inspiring, encouraging and uplifting others. As a licensed clinical social worker, she has worked tirelessly with families to help children achieve positive academic outcomes. Presently, Cindy is a social work administrator at a university, a PhD student and a writer. She adores her three children and loves spending time with her 5 siblings, mom and husband. In my Dominican family, food is very important. It has been a challenge balancing flavor with health consciousness, but we do our best.
