My name is Marcella Termini, I am the chair for the Manchester Chapter of ABLE NH (Advocates Building Lasting Equality), a current NH Leadership Series attendee. I live in Manchester, New Hampshire with my husband Jason, twin boys Vinny and Geno and daughter Lena. We are a punk rock, Brady Bunch loving crew. My twins experience Autism Spectrum Disorder and the past ten years of fighting for their civil rights have lead me to advocating for parents of and children with disabilities. I have advocated for Paid Family and Medical Leave as well as Dental Benefits for Adults on Medicaid at the state level and plan to continue advocating locally and nationally for disability, civil and human rights.

Voting is our civic duty- one of our most sacred roles as Americans - and for this upcoming election it feels as complicated and confusing as getting out of a corn-maze. In the midst of a global pandemic we need to be mindful that going to vote in person can be dangerous to ourselves or others if we don’t mask up and prepare ahead of time. Make your plan. Each state has different procedures and protocols about what you need to bring to vote and to register to vote. It is important to be prepared. Due to insecurities about the postal service, the in person voting lines might be long, so if you...

I am not good at math however. For the past eleven years I have been a stay at home parent, homeschool mom to 1, and caretaker for my three children. I have twin boys who are eleven (both are Autistic), an eight year old daughter and a husband of 17 years. We are a diverse bunch with a penchant for horrible 1980s tv sitcoms at the moment. My husband and I could not afford to put the twins in childcare when...

During the recent Polar Vortex of 2019, I loaded myself and my son Vinny into the Resistance Mobile (my terrible minivan bedecked with political and justice related stickers) and for the first time in my life drove to the State House in Concord, New Hampshire to rally and testify in support of Senate Bill 1, the bill to provide Paid Family and Medical Leave as a benefit for New Hampshire residents. Why is this newsworthy? Well, a little background. I am a happily married, stay at home former punk rock mom to three wild kids. They’re fantastic. I have twin boys who are ten and a seven year old...
