Shanette has worked in finance and accounting with nonprofits for over 15 years. She has a passion for serving her local and broader community as a champion for causes that support and empower women and teenage girls. In addition to her previous work with MomsRising, she is also an advocate for domestic violence, child and sexual abuse awareness.

Shanette received her Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting from Howard University School of Business. She currently resides in the Baltimore, Maryland area with her husband, three children and two cats. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and participating in a variety of creative arts.
