Susan is the managing director of Public Citizen’s Congress Watch division, where she helps coordinate all aspects of the division’s advocacy across multiple issue campaigns. Susan’s advocacy portfolio includes tax, postal service, and open government issues. She received her bachelor’s degree from Michigan State University and received her J.D. cum laude in public law and regulation from MSU’s College of Law. She is a member of the State Bar of Michigan. Prior to joining Public Citizen, Susan worked in the field of environmental and clean energy policy where she served on Michigan's Wetlands Advisory Council, the Michigan Climate Action Council's Cross Cutting Issues Technical Working Group, and on the Wind Energy Resource Zone Board. Susan has also worked in the areas of children’s advocacy, K-12 science education, workforce development, and served in AmeriCorps.
