Yda was born and raised in Peru and has lived in the US since 2008. She lives in Durham, North Carolina with her husband and daughter.
She has a B.A. in Journalism from Jaime Bausate y Meza College. She has worked as a radio reporter assigned to the Congress in Lima, Peru and as a public affairs strategic for several government organizations in her native country.
She has experience as a Spanish translator, interpreter, and video producer. She works for an immigration firm and as a translator. She is passionate about bilingualism and the Spanish language. Yda enjoys writing, film, music, chocolate, and good coffee.
