MomsRising invited 35 of our powerful members from 20 states across the country to join us last week for our Mom Power Bootcamp 2023! We brought together moms, advocates, Fellows, Fellow Alumni, and other engaged volunteers who are interested in leadership development and advocacy opportunities for issues that impact families with young children like early childhood.
This momentum-building meet-up also included a visit to the White House to highlight what access to high-quality, affordable child care would mean to their families. When moms come together to fight for families, we are powerful!
Our event also included a meet-and-greet event on Capitol Hill with Members of Congress who are early childhood and childcare champions to hear from our moms directly about the critical need for investments in care policies for families like childcare and early education!
“Connecting with other women, hearing from other different sides [at the Mom Power Bootcamp]... helps bring everybody together. This helps weave us together. The stronger that we are, the better we can make a better future for our children.” - Nicole, mom of 5 from Albuquerque, NM
Our brilliant leaders came together to foster skills in organizing & educating their communities on early education & other issues that impact families with young kids. We want to say THANK YOU to all the moms who came!
