Take Action!

Wow - I'm still excited about how much attention the issue of paid family leave insurance generated at the Presidential debate last week!

Right after the debate, I wrote a piece for CNN.com to talk about how and why momentum for paid family leave is building in this election. OUR goal in writing the article is to keep candidates, leaders and the media talking about the issue of paid leave long after the last debate, in between the debates, and at every debate to come. The more we—and opinion leaders—talk about paid leave, the more momentum we build and the closer we get to winning this basic workplace protection (that every other industrialized nation in the world already has in place). It's time!

Can you do one simple thing to help me sustain this interest in paid family leave among Presidential candidates and media? It's easy—just click the buttons below to share my article with your social media networks now.

Not on Facebook or Twitter? You can share the direct link instead: http://action.momsrising.org/go/6249

By sharing the article with your friends and family, you'll be showing the candidates and the media that voters are truly excited about paid family leave and other family economic issues. And if media editors (who are always tracking clicks!) see that readers are reading and sharing content like this, they'll be more likely to publish more news stories and opinion pieces like this one on the issues we care about.

Plus, your friends and followers will likely appreciate the post, too. Yesterday, our colleague Nate shared that many of his Facebook friends mentioned how much they enjoyed the piece.

Thanks for helping to keep the issue of paid leave and family economic security on the virtual front pages!
