Trying to figure out a good time to vote with your children in tow? Let us help make voting fun for the whole family! MomsRising volunteers are hosting super voter treasure boxes in TWENTY counties across North Carolina during early voting. Our aim is to keep your children engaged and enjoying the voting experience while you wait in line to vote. Find details on one near you on the map below!
The treasure boxes come fully stocked with voting coloring sheets and activities, small toys, stickers, props for taking voting selfies, and all sorts of other fun stuff to make voting a memorable experience for everyone!
These treasure boxes not only help parents keep kids occupied while they wait in line, they help create the kind of positive voting memories that will encourage kids to want to be voters themselves when they grow up.
All of the MomsRising voting treasure box locations and hours are listed below. ***Just a reminder that you must vote in your county of residence in order for your vote to count and must vote at your assigned polling place on Election Day, Tuesday, November 5th, though you can vote at any location in your county during the early voting period October 17th-November 2nd. To find out more about when and where you can vote, visit https://www.ncsbe.gov/
If you live in one of the 25 NC counties impacted by Hurricane Helene, please check the guidance from the NC State Board of Elections about how to vote in the disaster area. https://www.ncsbe.gov/voting/upcoming-election/helene-recovery-and-voting#VoterResidency-4065
In the 2024 general election, whether voting in-person or by mail, North Carolina voters will be asked to show photo ID. Voters can show their driver’s license, but many other forms of photo ID will be accepted. Registered voters who do not have a photo ID can get one for free from their county board of elections or an NCDMV office. Voters without ID can still vote by filling out a form explaining why they can’t show ID, or by casting a provisional ballot and showing their ID at their county board of elections office by 5 p.m. Nov. 14.
