Jacqueline Jackson was the Social Media Associate for MomsRising. She is from Los Angeles, CA, but living in Decatur, GA, enjoying the food and southern hospitality. Jacqueline assists individuals and organizations in developing timely and progressive content for their audiences through her combined knowledge in the communication and education fields. She has participated in multiple internships and fellowship programs with BET Networks, the Los Angeles Urban League, the University of Southern California, T. Howard Foundation and AmeriCorps. In addition to Jacqueline’s communication experience, she is also a Teach for America alum and holds tenured certificates in teaching with the NYC Department of Education. Jacqueline’s research and writing interests include culturally responsive pedagogy, digital activism, and cross-cultural communication. She holds a Bachelor’s in Communication from UC San Diego, a Master’s in Strategic Public Relations from the University of Southern California, and a second Master’s in Teaching from the Relay Graduate School of Education in New York.
As of 2021, Jacqueline entered MomsRising after completing a communication consulting project for the National Public Education Support Fund which included the Education 2020 campaign. Although she is not present in the classroom, Jacqueline remains committed to ensuring educational and societal equality for people from disadvantaged backgrounds through her work as an education and communications professional.
