Statement “Home is here for the hundreds of thousands of immigrant youth whose lives and futures were upended, yet again, when a federal judge partially ended DACA Friday evening. These young people are parents to more than a quarter of a million U.S.-citizen children and pay millions of dollars in taxes each year. Many are serving on the frontlines during the pandemic, keeping us safe by providing health care and doing other essential work. Now, once again, they are at risk for deportation and being separated from their families.

That’s why, today, on Child Tax Credit Awareness Day, MomsRising is unveiling an aggressive, multi-faceted set of actions designed to ensure that the country’s moms and families can access this new program, which will provide low- and moderate-income families with $300 per month per child under age 6 and $250 for each child aged 6 to 17.

Statement “Today’s 7 – 2 U.S. Supreme Court ruling is a major, meaningful victory for moms, families and our country. A U.S. Supreme Court reshaped by former President Trump refused to strike down the ACA, instead ruling, correctly, that those who attacked it had no standing. This is a good outcome for the country.
